Our mission is to provide a professional level of governance and advocacy both responsive and accountable to the needs of our regional community.

Reorganize governance (other models) reduce levels of government (Regional Growth Strategy, boundary expansion/extension)
Environmental Stewardship/Leadership (including cultural, consolidation of water, improvement districts)
Partnerships (RDKB/community, service delivery, communities and orgs beyond RDKB jurisdiction (IHA))
Efficiency in service delivery (maintain, or increase while not increasing requisition)
Open/adaptive/innovative (new ways to doing business/grow while being financially responsible, prepare for uncertain future)

i) Item: Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, Subdivision
Purpose: 2 lot subdivision
Location: 3275 Blythe-Rhone Rd., Westbridge, BC Area ‘E’

Recommendation:That Subdivision Information Report 5Bi presented in the June 16th Electoral Area Services Committee meeting agenda be received.

ii) Item: Site Specific Exemption to Floodplain Bylaw
Purpose: To construct a single family dwelling on West Lake Drive. Footings for the sundeck will be within the floodplain setback, and the lowest of three retaining walls will be below the flood construction level.
Location: 1728 West Lake Drive, Christina Lake – Electoral Area ‘C’
Applicant: Alfred Him, agent for Mikki Hamagami

Recommendation: That the application submitted by Mikki Hamagami (Alfred Him, Agent) for a Site Specific Exemption to the Floodplain Management Bylaw for the property described as Lot 3, District Lot 317, SDYD, Plan 4985 be approved, subject to development of the property being in conformance with the Flood Hazard Assessment Report dated September 1, 2010 and the Flood Hazard Assessment Report Addendum dated May 3, 2011, both prepared by Peter Mickelson, P. Eng. of Omni Engineering Inc.
and subject to registration of a standard floodplain covenant on title.

iii) Item: Development Variance Permit
Purpose: To replace a building that was damaged by fire.
Location: 9384 Highway 22A, Columbia Gardens, Area ‘A’
Applicant: Toxco Waste Management Ltd.
