About Us
The RDKB is located in the southern interior of British Columbia, Canada and is one of 27 regional districts in the province.

The RDKB was incorporated in 1966 and consists of eight incorporated municipalities and five unincorporated electoral areas.

The RDKB encompasses 8,096 sq. km and is home to 30,742 residents.

Time: 7:00 PM
Place: Club Meeting Room, Fruitvale Memorial Hall (1968 Main St, Fruitvale, BC)

The Workshop is hosted by Electoral Area ‘B’ & is open to anyone from the surrounding communities who are interested in learning more about the Woodstove Exchange Program. There are only 7 more allotments for Woodstove upgrade reimbursements.

RDKB 2012 Townhall Meeting Dates


The Regional District of Kootenay Boundary Board of Directors invites all RDKB residents, taxpayers and interested individuals to a series of Town Hall Meetings to learn about how Regional Districts operate in general and to listen to information regarding the 2012 Budget and the 2012-2016 Five-Year Financial Plan.

RDKB staff provided information regarding the legislative framework that Regional Districts must abide by, what overall regional services and what specific electoral area services are provided and how much taxpayers pay. Information respecting how levels of taxation are determined will be presented.

This is an opportunity to comment on the 2012 Budget and an opportunity to let your Director know your views and what kind of local government services you want that would make our communities better places to live, work and play.

2012/2013 Columbia Basin Trust Community Initiatives applications now being accepted

The Community Initiatives Program is funded by the Columbia Basin Trust and is administered by the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary.

The Regional District Community Services Commission of Greater Trail decided that the best course of action was to split the grant amongst the local communities on the basis of population.
