The Kettle River Watershed Committee (KRWC) was established by the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary (RDKB) to participate in the process and development of the Kettle River Watershed Management Plan and Implementation Strategy.
The Kettle River watershed includes the Kettle River, West Kettle River, Granby River, and all tributaries. According to the Outdoor Recreation Council of BC the Kettle River is ranked first on the BC Endangered Rivers list due to concurrent seasonal low flows and new and existing water extraction proposals and licenses.
