The Planning Department's Mapping section prepares and maintains a wide variety of maps and other graphical material for the Regional District.

Much of this is incorporated into a computer based Geographic Information System (GIS). This consists of digital maps linked electronically to databases that contain a variety of material including limited property information.

This mapping information is an important resource for the both Regional District Planning Program and the public.  It can be accessed through the new Interactive Mapping Service.

Fisheries and Oceans Canada has created the Community Mapping Network which catalogues Sensitive Habitat Inventory (SHIM). To view the Christina Lake Watershed Atlas follow this link to visit the SHIM website. (Internet Explorer required)

The Mapping section also has a wide variety of other general and special purpose maps and survey plans that may not be in a reproducible form but which may be viewed on request.
