Building Inspection

Overview


The Building Officials of the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary provide services to Electoral Areas A, B, C, D and E as well as the municipalities of Fruitvale, Grand Forks, Greenwood, Midway, Montrose, Trail and Warfield.

Contact the Building Department for information on getting Building Permits or for information on Building Bylaw 449. 

The Building Department also maintains statistics of building permits issued throughout the years.

Building Bylaw
A building bylaw is designed to ensure that building development meets health, fire, structural and general safety requirments.  The RDKB Building Officials are available to provide additional information regarding building bylaw requirements.

Building Bylaw 449 applies to the whole Regional District of Kootenay Boundary and contains information on setbacks and regulations that will help you when applying for a building permit.
