The City of Trail is one of five municipalities and two electoral Areas who use the motto "The Home of Champions" in promotion of our region. The City and surrounding areas are proud of the champions in sport, industry, the arts and education who have come from the area. Our citizens are proud of their communities and the lifestyle our region offers.
Trail is the largest city in the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary and home to the RDKB's head office. The City houses many cultural venues, community organizations and government services -- many of which are supported directly by the RDKB.
The population of Trail in 2006 was 7,237.
