Planning & Development Public Hearing Notices
Legal Notices respecting land use and development are published in local newspapers, according to legislation contained in the Local Government Act , whenever there is a public meeting scheduled for an application that would:

  • amend an Official Community Plan,
  • amend a Zoning Bylaw, or
  • permit temporary commercial or industrial uses.

The results of the August 21st  Other Voting/Referendum Question for Area ‘B’ Regional Parks and Regional Trails Amendment Bylaw No. 1448 to increase the requisition amount in the Area ‘B’ Regional Parks and Regional Trails Service Establishment Bylaw No. 1394 are as follows:

This means that the maximum amount that can be requisitioned annually in the Area ‘B’ Regional Parks and Regional Trails Service Establishment Bylaw No. 1394 shall not exceed the amount raised by applying a tax rate of $1.2441/$1,000 to the next taxable values of lands and improvements; or $270,000 (from $170,000) whichever is greater.
