Legal Notices respecting land use and development are published in local newspapers, according to legislation contained in the Local Government Act , whenever there is a public meeting scheduled for an application that would:

amend an Official Community Plan,
amend a Zoning Bylaw, or
permit temporary commercial or industrial uses.

The results of the August 21^st Other Voting/Referendum Question for Area �B� Regional Parks and Regional Trails Amendment Bylaw No. 1448 to increase the requisition amount in the Area �B� Regional Parks and Regional Trails Service Establishment Bylaw No. 1394 are as follows:

This means that the maximum amount that can be requisitioned annually in the Area �B� Regional Parks and Regional Trails Service Establishment Bylaw No. 1394 shall not exceed the amount raised by applying a tax rate of $1.2441/$1,000 to the next taxable values of lands and improvements; or $270,000 (from $170,000) whichever is greater.
